Yes, there’s a creepy clock that plays a role in the story!<\/p><\/div>\n

The Brothers Washburn, whose excellent YA horror novel PITCH GREEN scared the heck out of me last year, have a new entry coming out in the campfire story chill-inducement genre: MOJAVE GREEN.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know much about the plot of this little baby, but I do know Pitch Green <\/i>told the story of a creepy creature that ate children and lived in a \u201chaunted\u201d house in a small Mojave Desert<\/st1:place> town. I fell in love with the two teenage protagonists, one of whom lost a sibling to the hungry beast on a Halloween night long ago. I can only imagine what they will do next as they battle it\u2014and its \u201ckeepers,\u201d who are almost as scary as the beast itself. Okay, maybe even more intimidating, because at least the worst thing the beast can do is eat you.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Berk on the left, Andy in green on the right. These guys, in my opinion, are the kings of the campfire ghost story.<\/p>\n
