Social media is pretty amazing. We meet people from all over the world–and we never leave the comfort of our pajamas! (And they don’t know we’re in our pajamas. I assume everyone thinks of me blogging in my ball gown with my tiara.)
Recently I met via Twitter a really fun fellow writer, Rebekah Grow. She’s got a fantastic looking blog (I wish she’d show me the ropes on how to spruce up a WordPress blog. Geez. It’s SO beyond me.) and she interviewed me a few days ago and has posted the interview here.
I liked the questions she asked. It gave me a chance to think about the good things about writing and the stuff I have learned as I’ve tried muddling through this strange world.
I hope you like it!
Oh, and here’s a picture I took last spring. I need to think spring at this point!
I felt so hesitant to enter into the social media scene a year ago, but with our publisher pushing for it, I reluctantly started into it. I can say, however, that since that day, I’m thankful over and over for the numerous people, friends, other authors and complete strangers I’ve gotten to know this past year. We have such amazing technology now days to communicate with people near or all the way around the world, to share similarities and likes and become connected through positive messages.
I agree. Social media has been a huge learning curve for me, but I’ve met some great people I consider friends–including you, Elsie! And it’s nice we’ve also met in person. That’s even better. 🙂 I’m looking forward to socially mediatizing YOUR book, Shadows of Valor very soon!
